TEHRAN – Iran started the opening day of 2024 WPV Sitting Volleyball Final Qualifiers for Women on high on Wednesday.

In the match held at the Dali International Olympic Centre, Team Melli secured a convincing 3-0 (25-7, 25-19, 25-6) win over Japan in the all-Asian clash.

Iran’s relentless performance proved challenging for Japan despite their efforts to rally in the second set and clinching the match in straight sets.

There is one remaining position to be determined. The winners will qualify for Paralympics.
